A combination of Silicon (Si) and Carbide ©, SiC has an overwhelming heat
conductivity which is 5.7× as high as the hard ring. It would take heat away in
a second and keep your valuable line in safe. It's 12× as hard as stainless
and diamond-polished for low friction. The SiC ring is 1/3 lighter than
stainless. Fuji SiC has almost all the desired characteristics that you need in
a rod guide.
