The “N” frame had no welds or snap together frames, making it stronger, lighter in weight, and improved corrosion resistance over any other guide at the time. After over 30 years it remains one of the best frames ever designed and continues to be used in almost every style of fishing.

SiC
A combination of Silicon (Si) and Carbide ©, SiC has an overwhelming heat conductivity which is 5.7× as high as the hard ring. It would take heat away in a second and keep your valuable line in safe. It's 12× as hard as stainless and diamond-polished for low friction. The SiC ring is 1/3 lighter than stainless. Fuji SiC has almost all the desired characteristics that you need in a rod guide.
